Lead the design, deployment, and operation of global physical security platforms with a focus on engineering and migrating to Genetec for access control and CCTV. Manage integrations with non-Genetex systems. This is a hybrid role requiring four days per week in the New York, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a global engineering team responsible for the full lifecycle of physical security platforms, including access control and video systems.
- Manage end-to-end operations of the global Genetec Security Center deployment for access control and video surveillance.
- Lead the transition from legacy systems like C-CURE and Victor to Genetec, covering architecture design, cutover planning, device integration, data migration, and stakeholder communication.
- Plan and implement system updates, firmware upgrades, and security patches, ensuring rollback procedures and change documentation are in place.
- Provide support for incident resolution and break/fix issues across physical security applications.
- Integrate new technologies such as biometric authentication and video analytics into existing security platforms.
- Define, track, and report on performance metrics including system uptime, mean time to repair, change success rates, SLA compliance, and backlog processing, driving ongoing improvements.
- Collaborate with Physical Security operations, Network and Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Risk and Compliance, and Facilities teams to ensure platform alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in physical security engineering, including three to five or more years leading engineering teams or managing global or remote engineering staff.
- Proven hands-on experience with Genetec Security solutions, including enterprise-scale architecture, configuration, device integration, and operational support.
- Demonstrated experience migrating from legacy physical access control and CCTV systems such as C-CURE or Victor to Genetec, including cutover planning and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, with expertise in SQL, PowerShell, and at least one scripting language such as Python for automation and API integrations.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, multicast and unicast traffic, QoS, VPNs, and firewall concepts, with experience working alongside network engineering teams.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management, identity and access governance, and integration with logging or SIEM systems; ability to work closely with Cybersecurity and Risk/Compliance teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering results across technical and business functions.

Compensation
Base salary between $104,000 and $228,000 annually at hire, determined individually based on experience and market location. Total compensation may include commissions, discretionary bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives. Employment is at-will, and compensation may be adjusted based on performance, location, or market conditions.
