SS&C Eze is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to play a key role in our technology modernization journey and migration to an AU Private Cloud. You will be responsible for supporting and building our cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
What You'll Do
- Mentor and guide team members to maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline using Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Git, and PowerShell.
- Assess and build new monitoring capability across on-premises and cloud hosted environments.
- Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools.
- Manage the design and implementation of new pipelines.
- Write Terraform code, PowerShell, and Unix scripting.
- Work with tools like Grafana, Splunk, Site 24x7, and Github actions.
- Implement testing and automation tools.
- Work with containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Validate software code prior to implementation.
- Manage project delivery items through to completion by supporting the DevOps Manager.
- Work on establishing KPIs and measurement of customer experience.
- Provide 2nd level support for DevOps activities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working in a DevOps role.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods.
- Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies.
- Previous Software Engineer or IT Operations roles with significant scripting/coding experience.
- Understanding of hosting production environments on AWS.
- Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery build pipelines.
- Experience working with microservices, and infrastructure as code.
- Understand Database Technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Background with AWS Security Solutions such as WAFs and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of networks and core networking principles.
- Understanding of AWS networking technologies such as transit gateways.
- Understanding of the Windows Server Operating System (group policies, active directory, etc.).
- Passion for automating manual processes and a keenness to continuously improve & innovate.
- Ability to manage high pressure scenarios and develop strong working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage and deliver against time constraints.
Nice to Have
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification (preferable).
