Centene is looking for a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to manage the technical approach and decisions for configuring software and infrastructure services on our cloud platform. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers building and supporting cloud-based environments and automate deployment and administration.
What You'll Do
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code.
- Automate deployment and administration.
- Develop a plan to ensure security of cloud components.
- Partner with the DevOps team to spearhead and lead upgrades, enhancements, and software migrations.
- Lead a team of engineers who build and support the administration of cloud-based environments.
- Establish and develop code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure.
- Lead and direct the implementation of monitoring solutions for cloud environments.
- Partner with Development, Network, and Security groups and integrate their requirements in all environment build plans.
- Ensure the execution and completion of capacity plans for cloud-based deployments.
- Lead the development and implementation of design, build, and deploy cloud applications, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.
- Deliver a continuous integration and delivery pipeline and standards by enabling common DevSecOps tooling in the cloud environment.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 5 – 7 years of related experience.
- Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill.
- Experience with Azure and Amazon Web Services.
- Strong knowledge of IaC and automation.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Gitlab, Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Swarm, etc.
- Knowledge of automation languages such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Packer, etc.
- Experience with ARM templates (Azure Resource Manager templates).
