About the Role
The position involves delivering clinical services to adolescents in a residential program, including individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and collaboration with care teams to ensure comprehensive support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for youth entering the program
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual therapy sessions for residents
- Facilitate family therapy as needed
- Lead group therapy sessions on emotional regulation and coping skills
- Monitor client progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Collaborate with case managers and support staff
- Coordinate care with external providers and agencies
- Respond to behavioral crises with de-escalation techniques
- Document clinical notes in compliance with standards
- Ensure adherence to confidentiality regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Contribute to program development and improvement
- Attend supervision sessions as required
- Maintain accurate client records
- Support discharge planning and aftercare coordination
- Engage in trauma-informed care practices
- Uphold ethical standards in all clinical interactions
- Assist in psychological screening and evaluations
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities
- Address mental health symptoms through clinical intervention
- Foster emotional and behavioral growth in youth
- Conduct risk assessments for self-harm or harm to others
- Support clients through transitions in care
