Aplayers is looking for a Language Coordinator – Japanese to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate the localization of English content into Japanese, including dubbing and subtitling. You will also perform quality control on creative assets and act as a brand ambassador to grow our audience in the Japanese market.

What You'll Do

Perform quality control on scripts, dubbed audio tracks, mixed audio tracks, and subtitles to ensure consistency and linguistic accuracy.
Create localized metadata for regional audiences.
Meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects and deliver QC feedback within 24 hours of receipt.
Maintain clear and timely communication directly with your regional team and CreatorGlobal Leadership.
Document all processes and maintain all localization-related documentation and tools.
Act as a brand ambassador, researching opportunities, understanding the target market, and suggesting potential partnerships.

What We're Looking For

Native Japanese speaker with C1+ English proficiency.
1-3 years of experience with subtitling and dubbing translations, quality control, or another integral part of localization.
A passion for Japanese language and culture, including expert knowledge of lingo, slang, cultural references, and sensitivities.
Organized and structured, but able to quickly adapt to changes in plans and priorities.
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
An empathetic and proactive team leader.

Nice to Have

Understanding of the YouTube and digital media landscape in Japanese, including top content creators and trends.
3+ years of experience with subtitling and dubbing translations, quality control, or another integral part of localization.
Connections to studios, voice actors, and translators in Japanese.
