Emerson is looking for a Lab Technician for Hardware Engineering to support the development of new products. You will be integral to managing the lab environment, processing orders, and performing critical testing and analysis. What You'll Do
- Execute precise soldering modifications on engineering prototype assemblies.
- Attach modification wires to BGA components with a pitch of at least 0.5 mm.
- Develop detailed and clear modification instructions for production teams.
- Update the laboratory setup to keep equipment and processes aligned with the latest technological advancements.
- Create and process internal prototype orders.
- Handle BOM (Bill of Materials) processing and transfer to SAP as well as SAP booking execution.
- Process investment inquiries for the development department.
- Conduct thermal testing to evaluate heat tolerance.
- Perform failure analysis to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Qualify second sources as potential suppliers to ensure resource availability and redundancy.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of current embedded technologies.
- Understanding of technical and electronic datasheets.
- Basic experience with measurement equipment.
- Self-motivated, self-organized, and results-oriented.
- Effective organizational and communication skills, capable of clearly articulating processes and modifications.
Nice to Have
- Capacity to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams.
- Solid communication skills in English and German.
- Previous experience in a multinational company.
