What You'll Do
Lead the implementation and enforcement of quality and reliability standards throughout the product development and manufacturing cycle. Partner with regional electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and original design manufacturers (ODMs) to ensure adherence to key performance indicators and process controls.
Establish and monitor Critical to Quality (CtQ) parameters for surface mount technology (SMT) processes. Define manufacturing capability limits and evaluate critical process capability indices (CpK) to ensure robust production. Drive measurable improvements in product quality, reliability, and design for manufacturability (DFx).
Collaborate with contract manufacturers during new product introduction (NPI) to review designs, conduct process characterization, and ensure readiness for mass production. Analyze SMT process data across both NPI and volume builds, leading corrective actions to meet six sigma quality targets.
Support the integration of new materials and advanced technologies into manufacturing workflows. Evaluate and enhance assembly and system-level processes to improve yield and long-term reliability across consumer, automotive, and enterprise products.
