Barclays is looking for a KYC Onboarding Analyst to join our team in Gurugram. In this pivotal role, you will manage operations within a business area, maintain processes and risk management initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant regulators. You will support Wholesale Onboarding with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.
What You'll Do
- Support day-to-day Wholesale Onboarding initiatives including KYC processing, quality checking, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with clients and front office teams to gather Customer Due Diligence information to onboard or refresh client KYC.
- Work with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Onboarding processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change in onboarding processes.
- Develop and implement Wholesale Onboarding procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Create reports and presentations on onboarding performance and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
- Identify industry trends to implement best practices in Wholesale Onboarding.
- Participate in projects and initiatives to improve onboarding efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct thorough KYC due diligence checks on new clients, including individuals, corporations, and institutional clients.
- Collect, review, and verify KYC documents to ensure they meet regulatory standards.
- Complete client risk assessments, including screening for politically exposed persons, sanctions, and adverse media.
- Identify potential compliance risks and escalate concerns to senior compliance officers.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to your work.
- Deliver work in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
- Provide specialist advice and support pertaining to your work area.
- Execute work requirements as identified in processes and procedures, collaborating with closely related teams.
- Check work of colleagues within your team to meet internal and stakeholder requirements.
- Communicate sensitive or difficult information to customers regarding advice or administrative requirements.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to identify and address their needs.
