We are looking for bilingual professionals fluent in Korean (South Korea) and Japanese (Japan) to assess the quality of machine-generated lyric translations. This role focuses solely on evaluation—no translation or editing is required.
What You’ll Do
- Examine translated song lyrics for semantic accuracy, readability, and natural expression in Japanese.
- Apply standardized criteria to rate translation quality objectively.
- Flag errors including incorrect word usage, unnatural phrasing, or misinterpretations of cultural references.
- Deliver consistent, reliable assessments across large volumes of lyrical content.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must demonstrate native or near-native command of both Korean and Japanese, with a strong grasp of linguistic subtleties and colloquial expressions. You should be able to maintain precision and focus when reviewing repetitive or complex text.
Preferred Background
- Experience in translation, language evaluation, or localization work is beneficial but not required.
- Familiarity with music lyrics across genres enhances suitability for the role.
- Comfort using digital evaluation platforms is an advantage.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position open to candidates in multiple countries. The schedule is flexible, averaging four hours per day, with ongoing project availability. Participants who complete onboarding and log 10 hours in the first week will receive a one-hour reimbursement based on their evaluated rate.
Compensation
Compensation is set at $15 per hour. There is no equity component, and no additional benefits are included.
