As a Junior Security Officer, you will play a central role in strengthening organizational security by implementing and overseeing controls, supporting compliance efforts, and contributing to resilience planning. Reporting to the Head of Security Compliance, you will help coordinate audits, penetration testing, and preparedness exercises while ensuring policies and documentation remain current and effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, apply, and monitor internal security processes and controls to protect information and systems
- Support the planning and execution of security projects, including compliance audits and resilience testing
- Serve as a contact for clients and partners on security inquiries, including due diligence requests and RFP responses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date security documentation, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Legal teams to align security practices with business operations
- Manage vendor risk activities, including third-party assessments, onboarding reviews, and ongoing monitoring
- Assist in incident response readiness, including documentation and post-event follow-up
- Track security performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support company-wide security awareness through training and guidance
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience. A background of 3–6 years in information security, fintech, or a regulated industry is required. You should have a firm grasp of core security principles, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with fluency in English. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of integrity.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in vendor risk, audit coordination, or security assessments. Proficiency in French or German is advantageous. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are considered a strong asset.
