hyperexponential is looking for a Junior Model Developer to join its Model Development Team (MDT). This team, a blend of engineers, actuaries, mathematicians, and data scientists, specializes in solving complex problems for customers using the hx Renew platform. You will learn the platform, build models in Python, work directly with customer actuarial teams, and contribute to best practices and internal development.
What You'll Do
- Learn the hx Renew modelling platform and ship your first models independently within days.
- Build models in Python for seamless integration, using advanced approaches.
- Work directly with customer actuarial teams, partner developers, and internal development teams to solve complex coding problems.
- Develop advanced technical solutions.
- Review existing Python model development approach and contribute to best-practice guides.
- Contribute to and improve internal and external training and development materials.
- Participate in day-to-day quality assurance process of in-flight client and internal projects.
- Seek out opportunities to improve model development standards and ways of working.
