As a Junior Land Consultant, you’ll play a key role in advancing critical infrastructure projects in energy, transport, water, and public sectors. Your work will focus on identifying landowners, assessing legal interests in land, and supporting engagement efforts that help projects move forward. You’ll conduct detailed desktop research, interpret land registry documents, validate ownership details, and help manage data essential to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify landowners, occupiers, and parties with legal interests in land using public records, mapping tools, and company databases
- Support land access processes by reviewing documents such as licences and questionnaires from landowners
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK, Ireland, and India to deliver land-related services for high-profile developments
- Assist in stakeholder and landowner engagement, including participation in site visits and fieldwork
- Interpret maps, titles, and spatial datasets to inform project planning and statutory submissions
- Work under the guidance of senior consultants while building technical knowledge and professional judgment
- Take part in a CPD-accredited training programme that combines on-the-job learning with formal development
What We’re Looking For
You have recently completed a degree in Geography, Land Management, Agriculture, or a related field, or have gained relevant experience in land research or property analysis. You’re comfortable working with data, interpreting documents, and using digital maps to solve land-related questions. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to organize and present findings clearly.
Proficiency with MS Office tools—particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams—is required. You must be able to travel to project sites as needed and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment split between office locations and remote work.
