Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX Company, is looking for a Senior Java Developer. You will use advanced experience with multiple programming languages to design, build, test, implement, and support applications. This role focuses on developing integrated solutions aligned with business needs, from analyzing requirements through to production support.
What You'll Do
- Analyze business requirements across multiple business areas, including evaluating application software packages.
- Coordinate and schedule change control and production verification processes, preparing required documentation.
- Ensure programming and configuration adhere to corporate standards, integration issues are identified, and version control of deliverables is maintained.
- Ensure business applications are developed in compliance with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.
- Prepare test plans, certify string testing results, and perform regression and integration testing across applications.
- Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.
- Create impact and detailed design documents, translating requirements into an appropriate system design and managing version control of deliverables.
- Quickly recognize issues and perform steps needed to resolve them as effectively as possible.
- Collaborate with other team members on solutions and recommendations.
- Participate in incident retrospectives to document resolutions and future mitigations.
- Formulate and define application scope and objectives; devise and modify procedures to solve business problems.
- Monitor and report on the status of project efforts, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit project goals and implementing corrective actions.
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's Degree with a Computer Science or MIS field of study required.
