The IT/OT Engineer plays a key role in connecting operational technology from manufacturing environments with enterprise data systems. You'll design and enhance data pipelines that integrate information from PLCs, process historians, and Manufacturing Execution Systems, enabling smarter decision-making across global production sites.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain robust data workflows that link shop-floor systems with enterprise platforms, ensuring reliable and timely data flow
- Diagnose and resolve integration challenges involving automation systems, data quality, and real-time monitoring tools
- Develop scripts, transformations, and automated processes to streamline data handling and reporting for operations teams
- Work closely with engineering, digital, and plant teams to identify data needs and deliver scalable technical solutions
- Support digital initiatives by contributing to data modeling, system documentation, and governance practices
- Guide stakeholders in using data effectively to meet goals in production efficiency, energy use, product quality, and environmental performance
- Advance standardization and best practices across sites to improve data consistency and system reliability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments with a focus on data systems
- Familiarity with IT/OT integration principles and the architecture of industrial data ecosystems
- Hands-on ability with scripting languages such as Python, SQL, and ETL tools for data processing and automation
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity, system stability, and root-cause analysis
- Experience collaborating across engineering, operations, and digital teams in complex environments
- Clear communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion in a global manufacturing context
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-site or international manufacturing operations
- Background in industrial digitalization, advanced analytics, or smart manufacturing programs

Technical Environment

Work Mode
This is a fully remote position open to candidates in Denmark, Belgium, Finland, Austria, France, and the Czech Republic. You’ll operate within a globally distributed team, collaborating across time zones and functional areas.
