Light for the World International is hiring an IT System Engineer (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability
  • Manage network operations and monitoring to ensure stable connectivity and proactively address performance issues
  • Administer identity and access management processes, including user lifecycle, permissions, and privileged access controls
  • Support cybersecurity efforts by responding to incidents, managing vulnerabilities, and applying security patches
  • Provide second-level technical support and remote assistance to resolve complex IT issues and ensure user satisfaction
  • Administer core systems including Microsoft 365, Azure AD, servers, phone/VoIP systems, and databases
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, including regular testing to ensure business continuity
  • Contribute to IT projects and change initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external partners
  • Monitor system and application performance, analysing logs and alerts to proactively prevent issues
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support systems, processes, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems engineering, or infrastructure management
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and general systems administration
  • Experience with network management, server infrastructure, and cloud environments
  • Understanding of IT security principles, including access management, patching, and incident response
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a structured and timely manner
  • Strong service orientation with excellent communication skills and a user-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Experience in documenting technical processes and maintaining knowledge bases
  • Fluency in English
