Oversee and maintain IT systems aboard cruise vessels, ensuring reliable performance across all onboard operations. Collaborate closely with ship leadership to align technical services with operational goals and deliver consistent, high-quality support to both crew and passengers.
What You'll Do
- Support ship management in executing IT operations to meet or exceed performance benchmarks
- Partner with the Chief Purser to coordinate clearance procedures and manage arrival and departure documentation efficiently
- Verify compliance of crew and passenger paperwork with customs and immigration regulations across international ports
- Supervise daily IT functions, including system monitoring, user support, and incident response
- Lead backup protocols, ensuring data integrity and secure storage accessible only to authorized personnel
- Respond to technical issues on call and remain on standby during critical operational phases such as embarkation and disembarkation
- Enforce policies prohibiting unauthorized software use, maintaining systems strictly for operational purposes
- Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and departmental meetings to promote coordination and readiness
- Report ongoing activities and emerging technical concerns to senior management promptly
- Promote interdepartmental collaboration between hotel, deck, and technical teams for unified service delivery
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 and eligibility for recruitment from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, or Kyrgyzstan
- Fluent in Russian; intermediate to fluent English depending on role level
- Valid STCW certification and seafarer’s identity document
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Five years of progressive IT experience, including at least three in a senior role on cruise ships or in upscale hospitality environments
- Proven ability to lead teams in multicultural, high-pressure settings
- Strong grasp of organizational planning, resource allocation, and service delivery principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, IISII, and Linux platforms
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities
