About the Role

Samsung Electronics America is looking for an IT Security Manager (m/f/d) to operate and optimize local IT security processes in alignment with European security guidelines. You will ensure compliance with global policies and manage audits and incident response while coordinating local and regional security projects.

What You'll Do

  • Operate and optimize local IT security processes in alignment with European security guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with global policies and manage internal/external audits, checks, and incident response.
  • Coordinate local and regional security projects while collaborating with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Assess new business partners and IT solutions from a security standpoint.
  • Monitor and manage local IT security operations and infrastructure.
  • Keep up with cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and best practices to proactively improve our defense strategies.

What We're Looking For

  • University Degree or vocational training in Computer Science, IT Security, or related fields.
  • Multiple years of relevant experience in IT/Security auditing, consulting, or system management.
  • Fluency in English.
  • At least one certification of CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
  • Expertise in: ISO 27001, GDPR & common cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability management, incident response, forensics.
  • Expertise in Network, system, server & cloud security.
  • Expertise in Documenting and data handling (Excel).
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical risks to non-experts.
  • Structured and decisive, with a solution-oriented mindset, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Hands-on, self-driven, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable in multicultural settings.
  • Willing to travel occasionally.

Nice to Have

  • Experience ideally in an international environment.
  • Very good German and/or Korean language skills.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments including Legal, Workers Council, and Management.

Work Mode

This role operates on a hybrid basis from our office in Eschborn.
