Bragi is hiring an iOS Developer to join its team in Shenzhen, China. In this role, you will be instrumental in bringing our audio products to market by analyzing requirements from SoC vendors and internal stakeholders, integrating firmware and mobile middleware, and developing advanced iOS applications and libraries. You will act as a key communication bridge between customer teams/Bragi R&D in Europe to identify blockers and streamline processes.
What You'll Do
- Perform requirements analysis from both SoC vendors and Bragi.
- Evaluate and support mobile library offerings from SoC vendors.
- Identify gaps between vendor offerings and Bragi's support capabilities.
- Integrate and validate Bragi firmware and mobile middleware.
- Adapt the Mobile SDK to align with existing SoC features and firmware interfaces.
- Develop and implement advanced iOS applications and libraries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and launch new features.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
- Improve performance through debugging and refactoring.
- Ensure robust software with a focus on testability.
- Facilitate communication between customers and European R&D to identify blockers and improve documentation for fast time to market.
- Design and improve support processes between development teams in China and Europe, including documentation and tooling.
- Support ODMs and test engineers as part of the Bragi certification program.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in iOS development.
- Native proficiency in Mandarin and strong English skills (speaking, reading, writing) at an engineering level.
- Experience with native app development using first-party Apple technologies.
- Deep knowledge of Swift programming paradigms.
- Understanding of Architectural Models and Design Patterns.
- Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Experience with standard Bluetooth protocols without reliance on third-party libraries.
- Experience with custom Bluetooth protocols without reliance on third-party libraries.
- Understanding of Apple’s software design principles and interface guidelines.
- Ability to share industry best practices for software craftsmanship.
- Ability to understand business requirements and decompose complex features.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with chipsets from JieLi, WuQi, Actions, Bluetrum, or BES.
- Experience with CI/CD (Gitlab, Github, or similar) for mobile.
- Experience writing unit tests.
- Knowledge of Objective-C and Reactive programming paradigms.
- Experience interacting with MFI devices via Bluetooth.
- Understanding of user interface guidelines.
- Experience with automation testing.
- Previous experience with wearables or IoT devices.
