Seeking an iOS Engineer to develop and sustain high-performance iOS applications using Swift and current iOS frameworks. The role functions within an agile setting, partnering with designers, developers, and clients to deliver meaningful digital products. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, designers, delivery leads, and clients within an agile workflow
- Design, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and robust code for iOS platforms
- Ensure seamless integration with back-end services
- Maintain optimal application performance, responsiveness, and quality
- Support code quality, structure, and automation through peer reviews and user testing
- Detect and resolve performance bottlenecks and software bugs
- Stay current with evolving testing methodologies and advocate for improved quality practices
Requirements
- Extensive experience in developing large-scale mobile applications
- Strong proficiency in the Swift programming language
- In-depth knowledge of UIKit and/or SwiftUI
- Hands-on experience with iOS frameworks including Core Data and Core Animation
- Familiarity with Apple’s iOS design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs for back-end connectivity
- Practical knowledge of offline storage, threading, and performance optimization
- Understanding of low-level C-based libraries
- Ability to interpret business needs and convert them into technical specifications
- Experience with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications
- Skill in performance benchmarking and optimization
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git
- Experience in writing unit tests
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
- Understanding of Agile Framework principles including relative estimation, task breakdown, and sprint cycles
Nice to Have
- Capability to lead technical strategy, including architectural and design decisions for projects
- Experience in estimation, scoping, and discovery phases of project development
- Ability to collaborate with Digital and Enterprise Solution Architects to provide technical recommendations
