iRhythm Technologies is looking for an Inventory & Cost Accounting Manager to oversee our cost accounting processes, inventory transactions, and performance metrics. In this role, you will lead a matrixed team and drive improvements in a fast-paced environment, collaborating cross-functionally to support our mission of improving healthcare.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the manufacturing process from raw material to finished goods and cost of sales.
- Perform analytics on cost of sales, absorption, PPV, and other metrics to ensure timing and accuracy of standards and gross margins.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of product cost data and assist with close activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze cost accounting data and provide insights for business decisions.
- Lead a matrixed team of accountants in a global organization, delegating process improvement projects, documentation, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Review and approve month-end close journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish inventory policies and processes and continuously improve inventory management practices.
- Assist in setup of manufacturing bill of materials (BOMs) and routings, and assist supply chain in material master setup of purchased parts.
- Identify tasks and deliverables for implementation projects and assist in their creation, coordination, and execution.
- Establish KPIs and timelines, and set cadence for ongoing communications to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and create training for finance, accounting, manufacturing, and procurement teams.
- Lead annual standards setting process and set standard costs in the ERP system.
- Maintain updates to materials via MasterControl requests and update materials in QAD/ERP system.
- Assist FP&A with product cost related information and modeling for forecast refreshes.
- Assist in audit and ad-hoc cost accounting requests.
- Provide data conversion and testing support for ERP implementation.
- Assess current financial policies, procedures, and systems to create workflows for a new ERP system.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, data merges, filters).
- Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment.
- Strong understanding and proficiency in U.S. GAAP.
- Willingness to work flexible or extended hours during month end close to support an international team.
- Experience with tight deadlines and responsibility for accuracy and timeliness for work performed or reviewed.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
- High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work on multiple projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and proven ability to work with limited supervision.
- Exhibits advanced wide-ranging experience and professional knowledge to develop and resolve complex models and procedures.
- Understands and works on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise and adapts communication style.
- Frequently advises others on complex matters.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience.
- Knowledge of multinational ERP is required; SAP and/or QAD is a plus.
- Previous experience in ERP implementations or related project management experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented, matrixed organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of personnel.
- Eagerness to learn and take on challenges in a rapidly-growing and dynamic environment; must be a team player.
- Strategic thinking with an emphasis on relationship management and communication at all levels.
