Create Your Own Career is offering a 20-week paid remote internship program for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Interns will integrate into our Adult and Children's Production teams within Corporate Bookmaking and Publishing Operations divisions, gaining hands-on experience in the publishing process through panels, networking events, and a dedicated mentoring program.
What You'll Do
- Support production workflows by updating schedules and documentation, routing proofs, maintaining title lists, and assisting with bound galleys and file preparation.
- Assist with transmittals, cover and jacket coordination, and tracking timelines for hardcover and trade paperback titles.
- Gain hands-on experience in children’s and YA publishing, including exposure to estimating, color correction, typesetting, and print production processes.
- Support the Ebook production and QA teams by performing technical quality checks on ebooks, proofreading and editing alt text, assisting with backlist quality control, and gaining exposure to CSS, HTML, and digital publishing workflows.
- Work with eBooks in various genres.
What We're Looking For
- Available 21 hours/week for both internship sessions.
- Ready to work full-time by June 2027 (no degree required).
- Must be a U.S. resident during the program.
- Must be 18+ years old.
