Advanced Practice Provider Full-time Work Location: Newport, Oregon Global Medical Solutions Provider delivers customized medical and security risk management solutions to organizations operating in challenging environments. Founded decades ago, we operate across 92 countries providing integrated medical services. Our innovative approach focuses on prevention, offering real-time insights and high-quality delivery. We provide clinical services at over 800 sites worldwide, including inpatient capabilities, with 12,000 staff encompassing 5,200 medical and behavioral health providers. Our services include healthcare solution design, deployment of medical facilities in remote environments, telemedicine consultations, global provider network referrals, and aeromedical evacuation. We provide contracted healthcare support to government defense and civil agencies, supporting military exercises, diplomatic missions, natural disasters, and refugee care. This project is in the proposal stage; contract award is pending. We seek an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to deliver high-quality medical care, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for diverse health concerns. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, patient advocacy, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Practice as physician assistant or nurse practitioner following established criteria and guidelines - Provide healthcare consistent with agency policies - Perform comprehensive history and physical evaluations - Conduct behavioral health care and minor outpatient surgical procedures - Coordinate patient healthcare needs and referrals - Implement infection control actions - Complete assigned training - Attend required meetings - Participate in APP Peer Review process - Provide direct patient care through scheduled and urgent visits - Consult with Clinical Director for complex cases - Provide infirmary care including admissions and rounds - Work within Advanced Practice Provider Scope of Practice - Apply pharmaceutical knowledge when prescribing - Interpret diagnostic and laboratory results - Manage tuberculosis testing and treatment - Adhere to universal precautions - Potentially serve as medical escort - Utilize communication support services - Maintain schedule flexibility - Provide patient health education - Maintain patient record confidentiality - Potentially serve in supervisory roles - Mentor and facilitate APP onboarding Basic Requirements: - Current unrestricted Oregon license - Four years full-time clinical experience - American Heart Association BLS certification - Physician Assistant requirements: - Accredited bachelor's/master's degree - National certification through NCCPA - Nurse Practitioner requirements: - Graduate advanced practice degree - National board certification - Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to maintain composure in high-stress environments Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of public health preparedness - Infection control expertise - ACLS certification Physical Requirements: - Hazardous duty position - Ability to walk, jog, and maintain physical exertion - Lift up to 30 pounds - Perform emergency care - Work in stressful environments - Extended sitting/standing Special Qualifications: - Minimum 21 years old - U.S. citizenship or permanent residency - Pass medical examination - Complete background investigation - Potential security clearance - Spanish proficiency preferred Compensation based on experience, with comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k, and potential bonus.
