Mathspace is hiring an International Baccalaureate (IB) Mathematics Curriculum Project Manager to lead the development of high-quality textbooks for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). In this role, you will be the driving force behind the entire content creation lifecycle, from initial planning to final publication, while coordinating a distributed team and leveraging modern tools to innovate educational materials.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the end-to-end creation of IB MYP and DP mathematics textbook content, from planning through publication.
- Manage project timelines, set milestones, and ensure content development stays on track.
- Ensure all lessons, examples, and practice questions are tightly aligned with IB curriculum requirements.
- Conduct thorough reviews of team-produced content, providing detailed, specific feedback to authors.
- Work closely with a team of content developers, educators, and editors, facilitating collaboration.
- Continuously refine content development and review processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Leverage technology and AI tools to aid in creating and reviewing materials.
- Ensure each unit and chapter meets a world-class quality standard before release.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive knowledge of the IB mathematics curriculum for MYP and DP.
- At least a few years of experience teaching IB MYP and/or DP Mathematics, or developing IB-aligned curriculum materials.
- Strong background in educational content creation, such as writing or editing math textbooks, lesson plans, or exam-style questions.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- High comfort with technology and quick to adapt to new tools.
- Willingness to use and experiment with modern AI tools to enhance productivity and content quality.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in writing clear, constructive feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team.
- Meticulous attention to detail regarding academic accuracy, formatting, and consistency.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a curriculum publishing role or as an editor for math educational content.
- Experience writing or grading mathematics exams for IB or other curricula.
- Basic experience with programming or data tools (e.g., Python or SQL).
- Experience using LaTeX for mathematical content formatting.
