Antech Diagnostics is seeking an Internal Medicine Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will provide accurate, timely, professional, and friendly peer-to-peer medical consultation to our veterinarian clients. Your focus will be on advising on the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of medical diseases in canine and feline patients, supporting our mission to make A Better World for Pets.
What You'll Do
- Provide peer-to-peer consultation with clients regarding the interpretation and selection of laboratory results and overall case management.
- Build and strengthen rapport with clients through the consultation process.
- Achieve and maintain superior knowledge of Antech offerings and services, including proprietary testing.
- Attend consultant meetings and continuing education seminars.
- Assist in other duties relevant to consultation services and other Antech departments.
- May participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and the creation of client support materials like presentations, webinars, or support documents.
What We're Looking For
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent with an active license in your state or province of residence.
- Board-certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM).
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience after completing board certification.
- A track record of high-quality continuing education and a commitment to the highest standards of medical quality.
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with and mastery of information technology platforms, including Microsoft programs, Cisco Systems, and proprietary lab-based software.
- The ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively with clients and management, and to work remotely with minimal supervision.
Nice to Have
- Bilingualism, specifically fluency in French, both spoken and written.
