Wizards of the Coast (Skeleton Key Studio) is seeking a Creative Graphic Design Intern to join the Magic: The Gathering TCG Studio. You will apply your passion for visual storytelling and fantasy entertainment to a hands-on, tactical role developing the style and quality of Magic products. You’ll collaborate with creative teams throughout the entire process, using skills in typography, identity, illustration, and art direction.
What You'll Do
- Concept, pitch, craft, and deliver creative design solutions while adhering to design industry standards.
- Support packaging layout based on strategy and creative direction from senior leads.
- Communicate your ideas and intentions clearly to creative leadership, fellow designers, and art directors.
- Make revisions based on feedback from creative managers and directors.
- Stay current on design trends and pursue creative development by collaborating with management and peers.
- Work, collaborate, and brainstorm as a team, sharing creative ideas, tips, and process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- A layout-heavy portfolio demonstrating high-quality print design work.
- An interest in creating highly customized logos and a passion for typography.
- A love for packaging, structural, and print processes.
- Specialization in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator software.
- Ability to use brand strategy to produce strong, conceptual creative solutions.
- Ability to follow brand guidelines precisely.
Nice to Have
- Packaging or print prep experience.
- Knowledge of dielines and prepress.
- Digital illustration experience.
- Being a fan of gaming, sci-fi, or fantasy fandom.
