Dev.Pro is looking for an Intermediate Full-stack Engineer to join our remote engineering team. You will contribute directly to customer-facing products, ensuring applications are functional, intuitive, and visually appealing through a balance of back-end and front-end development.
What You'll Do
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails as the primary framework.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to implement user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
- Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern server-side frameworks to implement responsive front-end solutions.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs, integrate third-party services, and manage databases using PostgreSQL or similar technologies.
- Write code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices through code reviews.
- Write and conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure application stability and efficiency.
- Own the entire life cycle of a piece of work, shipping features and small improvements.
- Set and meet timeline expectations for your work, recognizing early when a task is taking longer than expected.
- Participate in technical design of features with guidance and contribute evenly in pair programming.
- Express ideas clearly when pairing and in small team forums, suggesting new technical or process ideas.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and seek ways to improve existing processes and products.
- Provide advice on specific technical approaches in areas you are familiar with.
What We're Looking For
- Full-stack development experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience with modern server-side frameworks like Ruby on Rails Hotwire or Phoenix LiveView.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience managing databases using PostgreSQL or similar technologies.
- Ability to write clean code and follow stated best practices.
- Ability to work remotely and be self-directed.
- Strong communication skills for pairing and team collaboration.
- A growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Heroku).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with mobile development or responsive design.
