The Interior Kitchen Cabinetry Designer is responsible for developing custom kitchen layouts, generating technical drawings and 3D visualizations, and working closely with U.S.-based teams to ensure designs align with client needs and manufacturing requirements. This remote, full-time position suits professionals with expertise in cabinetry design, space planning, and drafting who can support both creative and production processes with accuracy and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed kitchen cabinetry plans tailored to client requirements
- Generate technical drawings, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings for design and production use
- Ensure all measurements are accurate and conform to manufacturing specifications
- Revise and update design documents based on feedback from clients or production teams
- Collaborate with U.S.-based teams to clarify and fulfill design needs
- Present design alternatives, explain layout choices, and assist in decision-making
- Maintain regular communication via email, meetings, and digital collaboration platforms
- Convert client-provided sketches, photos, or architectural drawings into cabinetry designs
- Track outstanding tasks, manage to-do lists, and complete follow-ups promptly
- Deliver precise drawings for use in fabrication and on-site installation
- Spot potential issues related to measurements or buildability early in the process
- Modify designs to reflect actual field dimensions or site-specific conditions
- Ensure all designs comply with U.S. standards for cabinetry and millwork
- Support design and administrative activities as needed
- Order required materials and components for projects
- Create content for social media and LinkedIn posts
- Update calendars and scheduling tools
- Manage revisions and maintain version control for all drawings
- Organize project files systematically and consistently
- Adhere to established workflows and meet deadlines reliably
- Use project management software and drafting applications as required
- Monitor tasks, deadlines, and project progress proactively to prevent delays
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- Experience in residential interior design with strong drafting skills
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Layout, or comparable drafting and rendering software
- Capable of reading and interpreting architectural drawings and dimensions
- Solid knowledge of construction terminology and cabinetry construction methods
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Nice to Have
- Experience working with U.S. contractors, builders, or cabinetry manufacturers
- Familiarity with NKBA design standards
- Experience with 2020 Design software, preferred but not mandatory
