Job Summary The Internal Insurance Strategist (IS) role involves engaging with clients and advisors to discuss and recommend life, long-term care, and disability income insurance solutions within the Financial Institutions channel. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Essential job functions include, but are not limited to: - Conduct comprehensive client needs assessments, identifying financial gaps and proposing tailored insurance solutions - Manage daily sales activities and track pending business progress - Respond to referral source inquiries and schedule client-advisor consultations - Process insurance applications and guide cases through underwriting procedures - Educate clients and advisors on insurance product mechanics, variations, and benefits - Drive sales processes toward product acquisition - Provide foundational insights into estate planning, business strategies, asset optimization, and insurance planning EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates must possess: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience - Minimum 2 years direct insurance sales experience or 3+ years internal sales support in insurance distribution CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Active Life and Health Insurance license - Appropriate FINRA registrations (Series 6 and 63) FUNCTIONAL SKILLS - Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities - Exceptional customer service orientation - Advanced time management proficiency - Multitasking and prioritization expertise - Adaptable team and independent working approach - Technical proficiency in Windows environments - Comprehensive Microsoft Office software skills - Analytical problem-solving capabilities - Cross-organizational communication effectiveness - Extensive knowledge of insurance product features - Proven sales performance track record - Underwriting process understanding Equal Employment Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to workplace diversity.
