Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution, including general liability, professional liability, and complex tort claims
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with a high level of precision and advocacy
• Take and defend depositions, including experts and key parties, and represent clients in hearings and motion practice in state and federal courts
• Provide trial support, including strategy development, witness preparation, and trial execution
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, assess risk, and deliver practical legal solutions
• Communicate directly with carrier clients and insureds, providing updates, legal advice, and strategic guidance
• Stay current on developments in insurance defense litigation, incorporating industry trends into case strategy

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation
• Strong academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills
• Experience with case management, drafting pleadings, and handling motions and depositions
• Admitted and in good standing in California

Nice to Have

• Trial and/or arbitration experience preferred
• Additional jurisdictions a plus

• Salary range: $175,000 – $220,000, depending on experience and practice group
