Life360 is looking for an Instrumentation & Controls Designer to support the development of high-quality engineering solutions for data center projects. You will join a team-based, purpose-driven firm focused on leaving the world better than we found it.

What You'll Do

Prepare design deliverables including Instrument Index, Instrument Data Sheets, Installation Details, and Wiring Diagrams.
Develop control systems (DCS/PLC) documents such as I/O Lists, Process Control Narratives, and Cause & Effect Diagrams.
Coordinate with third-party control system vendors and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Develop and review P&IDs for various projects.
Select and size I&C components like valves, thermowells, and relief valves.
Collaborate across disciplines to integrate designs and develop level sketches.
Review vendor documentation and provide technical recommendations.
Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
Ensure compliance with company and project site safety policies.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls design, preferably in data center or industrial projects.
Proficiency in engineering design software and tools, including REVIT.
Strong understanding of control systems (DCS/PLC), instrumentation technologies, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external vendors.
A proactive mindset and commitment to delivering solutions that meet technical and safety requirements.

Nice to Have

Experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
An Associate's degree.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role with locations including Fort Worth, TX; North Kansas City, MO; Omaha, NE; and remote options in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tulsa, OK.
