Join Hawthorne Gardening Company (Hawthorne Hydroponics LLC) as a remote Inside Sales Representative. You will be a key member supporting the National Accounts & Hardware Sales Business Development team, responsible for managing current accounts and driving growth by prospecting new stores, developing strategic plans, and fostering long-term customer relationships.
What You'll Do
- Take inbound and make outbound calls to acquire new customers, increase invoice sales, and retain current volume.
- Use data to analyze needs, create recommended orders, and submit orders into our internal order writing programs.
- Collaborate with customer field teams, distributor partners, and internal field sales representatives.
- Manage and process promotional dollars, trade funds, COOP funds, and other creative ways to drive point-of-sale activity and consumer traffic.
- Manage the entire order process from prospecting to delivery, including placing orders, monitoring on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery, managing customer expectations, and resolving issues.
- Create and distribute marketing materials (both physical and virtual) for customers to use in store and online to drive retail sales and consumer traffic.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to confidently sell Scotts Miracle-Gro and related products over the phone.
- A problem-solving and service-oriented attitude.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong prioritization skills.
- Ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment.
