Remote Talent LATAM is hiring an Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to lead scalable backend development and cloud architecture for a digital health company. This role requires strong AWS knowledge and a passion for building secure, high-performance systems integrated with modern DevOps practices.
What You'll Do
- Lead scalable backend development and cloud architecture.
- Manage AWS architectures (VPC, ECS/EKS, Route 53, Cloudflare) and support multi-region deployments for high availability.
- Enforce HIPAA standards, manage IAM, implement secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT), and apply Zero Trust principles.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), define IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation, and automate containerized workloads.
- Set up observability practices, log aggregation, distributed tracing, and multi-region monitoring with automated alerts.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of combined experience in infrastructure/DevOps.
- Basic hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and event-driven tools (Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka).
- Deep expertise in AWS services (VPC, EC2, IAM, RDS, S3, ALB, Route 53, API Gateway, ECS, EKS).
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization and production experience with technologies like Aurora and RDS.
- Proficiency with message brokers (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka) and async task management.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and container orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Proven experience with multi-region cloud deployments and disaster recovery.
- Experience with observability tools and monitoring solutions.
- Reside in a Latin American (LATAM) country.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: Up to $6,000/month (USD), depending on experience.
- Working hours: 9 AM – 5 PM PST.
- 2 weeks of PTO, aligned with U.S. holidays.
