BitGo is hiring a highly experienced Infrastructure Engineer to lead and architect our high-availability digital asset infrastructure on Kubernetes. This pivotal role drives strategic initiatives, guarantees robust performance, and ensures unparalleled reliability for our global operations.
What You'll Do
- Architect, design, and champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions.
- Lead cross-functional collaborations to proactively identify and address complex infrastructure requirements.
- Evaluate, integrate, and strategically deploy advanced open-source and commercial tools to enhance security and capabilities.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud infrastructure including capacity planning and resource right-sizing.
- Define, own, and execute the technical roadmaps for critical system components.
- Drive operational excellence, reliability, and performance of critical client and internal systems.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience securing, scaling, and operating multiple complex environments on Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise with ArgoCD, GitOps, Grafana, and advanced Terraform implementations.
- Strong Linux systems administration skills, including performance tuning and security hardening.
- Deep understanding of networking: VPCs, security groups, load balancers, CNI plugins.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level language, preferably Go, with strong bash scripting.
- Deep operational expertise with relational and NoSQL databases and large-scale object storage.
- Proven track record with Github Actions and architecting robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with major public cloud providers and advanced container orchestration strategies.
- Minimum of five years building, securing, and maintaining complex, high-stakes production systems.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills with a proactive disposition.
Nice to Have
- Security operations experience, including vulnerability management and incident response.
- Extensive experience with compliance frameworks and audit lifecycles (SOC, ISO).
- Advanced expertise in observability, web security threats, and uptime-critical infrastructure.
- Demonstrated track record of translating complex technical work into significant business outcomes.
- Strong history of mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- Proven experience delivering impactful internal-facing tools or automation that improved workflows at scale.
- Blockchain/crypto infrastructure experience such as running nodes and validators.
- Prior experience in financial services or regulated industries.
