The Boeing Company is hiring an Information Technology Manager to lead the Data Distribution and Management Software Development, Maintenance and Modernization Team. You'll be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, modernization, and maintenance of software solutions that enable Data Distribution and Management applications.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the Data Distribution Management application maintenance and development team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Develop and implement software solutions that meet the needs of engineering and product standards business teams, ensuring high quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish project timelines.
- Manage the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential application to enhance software development processes and tools.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of software solutions and adherence to service level agreements.
- Monitor and optimize software performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business teams, project managers, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in leading teams.
- 7+ years of experience in information technology or technical support.
- Experience developing engineering or manufacturing software solutions.
- 3+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification.
- Experience in Agile methodology.
- Experience with software development methodologies, programming languages, and software development tools.
- Exposure to implementing AI solutions in existing engineering software solutions.
- Prior experience with application modernization.
