PABCO Gypsum is hiring an Industrial Electrician to maintain all electrical and mechanical systems at our Newark, CA plant. You will be the key technical resource ensuring operational continuity by troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, controls, mechanical systems, and instrumentation.
- Respond to repair calls at any hour and work extended hours to keep the facility running.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
- Design and assemble motor starters and electrical control panels.
- Run conduit, pull wire, make connections, and perform simple welding.
- Troubleshoot PLC, VFD, AC Drive, and HMI equipment.
- Diagnose and repair field instruments.
- Order and reorder necessary parts.
- Record daily activities in a logbook.
- Maintain your work area to plant standards for safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.
- Attend safety meetings and adhere to all company and governmental safety regulations.
- Operate a forklift, front-end loader, and other equipment as required.
What We're Looking For
- High school education or equivalent.
- 4-10 years of hands-on experience in the electrical field.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
- Proficiency in designing and assembling motor starters and control circuits.
- Experience running conduit and making electrical connections.
- Knowledge of AC Drive systems.
- Open availability, including nights and weekends. Role involves on-call duty, overtime, and call-ins.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
