ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is hiring an Inbound Customer Service Representative to provide dedicated support for our USA-based Hospice Healthcare client. This remote role requires a compassionate professional to manage patient intake and coordinate services, ensuring families receive timely and empathetic support during weekend Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.
What You'll Do
- Manage all aspects of the patient intake process, including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources.
- Respond to customer requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Handle insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Schedule appropriate staff to meet with patients and families to discuss hospice services in a timely manner.
- Coordinate hospital discharges and general admission processes.
- Perform data entry tasks, keeping all admission tracking logs up-to-date.
What We're Looking For

- Patience to provide compassionate support.
- Ability to work weekends (PST hours): Friday 9am – 6pm; Saturday, Sunday & Monday 6am – 6pm.
- Willingness to work on both South African and US public holidays.
- A fixed fibre internet line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps upload & download.
- Ability to support a wired Ethernet connection.
- A reliable power backup solution for load shedding and power outages.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position operated in a global context, requiring work during specific US Pacific Time hours from South Africa.
