Bitwarden is hiring an Implementation Engineer

About the Role

Bitwarden is looking for an Implementation Engineer to serve as a server and cloud enthusiast who will become a Bitwarden product expert. You will partner with Customer Engagement Managers to help customers with initial production deployments post-sales, implement new features, and increase adoption of the Bitwarden platform.

What You'll Do

  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Bitwarden and its suite of services.
  • Lead technical planning and execution of new deployments, establishing and adopting best-practices with a focus on large Enterprise engagements.
  • Advise customers on industry best practices for the full stack of Bitwarden.
  • Work with customers to solve issues and/or look ahead to identify solutions to situations they may face in the future.
  • Provide superb guidance and assistance for each customer’s implementation of Bitwarden and general security.
  • Serve as a dedicated customer point of contact for named customers through alignment to Customer Engagement Manager resources via ticketing and email systems.
  • Participate in customer quarterly business reviews by assisting in environment audits, best-practices reviews, and positioning new product features relevant to expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product associates to triage bug reports and feature requests based on customer need and scale with a focus on large Enterprise deployments.
  • Assist training and culture sharing in the Implementation Engineering Team.
  • Guide knowledge sharing among Implementation Engineers and collaborate with Technical Writing to share best-practices, troubleshooting information, and recommended configurations.
  • Lead and/or assist in internal team projects including customer environment replication for bug investigations, integrations with new third-party tools, and development of automations.
  • Occasionally represent Bitwarden at customer meetings, industry events, or team offsites (some travel may be required).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Bitwarden.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and macOS.
  • Experience with Docker (Swarm Mode), Kubernetes, and Podman.
  • Familiarity with NFS, SMB/CIFS, and Block storage.
  • Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell.
  • Experience with identity providers like Active Directory, LDAP, Google Workspace, Azure Entra ID, Jumpcloud, Cloudflare and Okta.
  • Cloud platform experience with GCP, AWS, and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Android and iOS.
  • Experience with GitHub.
  • Familiarity with NGINX.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SMTP.
  • Experience with SAML and OpenID Connect.
  • Knowledge of TLS/SSL and PKI.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the Customer Success team, collaborating with Customer Engagement Managers, Engineering, and Product, and reporting to the Manager of Implementation Engineering.
