BCG Platinion was looking for a Human Resources Specialist

Take ownership of career development initiatives as a Human Resources Specialist in Cologne, working within a forward-thinking team focused on talent and organizational growth. This full-time position runs until June 30, 2027, and centers on managing key people processes that shape employee development and career progression.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end career development cycles, including preparation, coordination, and follow-up of evaluation committees
  • Manage the annual bonus process with precision, ensuring clarity, consistency, and timely execution
  • Implement personnel decisions such as promotions, salary adjustments, and development plans
  • Act as a reliable advisor to managers on career pathways and employee growth
  • Support teams and individuals by clarifying procedures, criteria, and development options
  • Monitor timelines and maintain accuracy across all career-related activities
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and lead initiatives to improve them
  • Take independent responsibility for specific focus areas, from planning through to delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Business Administration, Business Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field
  • At least two years of HR experience, with demonstrated responsibility for dedicated areas
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities systematically
  • Proactive mindset—able to anticipate needs and take initiative without direction
  • Confidence in engaging senior leaders with professionalism and clarity
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and experience with HR systems
