Turner & Townsend is looking for an HR Internal Communications & Change Manager to join our UK HR team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will be a key driver of a critical HR transformation programme, ensuring its successful implementation and adoption across the UK through effective communications and change management.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage regional project communication plans, ensuring alignment with global timelines and objectives.
- Lead regional deployment teams, including support staff, to deliver change activities effectively.
- Coordinate and oversee regional training and user adoption strategies.
- Monitor progress against deployment plans, identifying risks and issues, and escalating where necessary.
- Support go-live activities and provide post-implementation support across regions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure communications are integrated and aligned with broader organisational goals.
- Partner with the UK IC Manager and Global Change & Communications Lead to execute internal communications strategies tailored to the UK region’s needs.
- Create and deliver clear, engaging communications that support HR change initiatives and enhance employee understanding.
- Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring expectations are understood and met across all levels of the organisation.
- Track and analyse user feedback to inform continuous improvement of communications and training materials.
- Act as a key liaison between UK regional HR teams and the global transformation programme, ensuring consistent messaging and feedback loops.
- Provide regular updates and insights to the Project and HR leadership on regional progress, challenges, and successes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience producing impactful, compelling change communications for a diverse internal audience.
- Experience in project rollout, executing against plans and delivering on time and on budget.
- Strong operational change capability: mapping impacts, defining readiness actions, and driving changes in ways of working.
- Experience producing leadership communications pieces across a variety of channels, working closely with MD or C-suite level executives.
- Familiarity with Internal Communications content management systems, MS SharePoint, Office 365 suite, and HRIS systems.
- Excellent copywriting skills, with demonstrable experience creating clear and persuasive copy.
- Evidence-based reporting: trackers, dashboards, readiness measures, and risk escalation.
- Experience supporting go-live and hypercare communications in a time-critical environment.
- Resilient, adaptable, able to ‘think on your feet’ and demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Calm under pressure during go-live windows and able to make fast, sound judgement calls within governance.
- High-energy, positive attitude, viewing challenges as opportunities.
- Confident, articulate and comfortable managing relationships with project teams and senior stakeholders (including at MD and Board level).
- Ability to influence and develop productive relationships with a variety of teams across the business.
- Comfortable enforcing standards and guardrails while maintaining strong relationships.

- Strong system implementation experience is helpful, but not essential.
