About the Role

Meijer Stores LP, a family company dedicated to serving people and communities, is looking for an HR Analytics Specialist. In this role, you will be a critical member of the HR Analytics team, focused on self-service, data integrity, system administration, and providing actionable insights for business and HR leaders. You will champion automation to streamline HR processes while providing day-to-day system support and long-term planning.

What You'll Do

  • Provide HR system configuration, set and maintain system standards and security, and help establish HR system policy.
  • Ensure strong auditable administrative processes, perform scheduled and unscheduled HRIS maintenance, and resolve system issues.
  • Assist in evaluating, testing, and implementing new HRIS systems, upgrades, or patches.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and analyze metrics, dashboards, and reports to support HR and business initiatives.
  • Respond to scheduled and ad-hoc analytics requests.
  • Partner with the Analytics team to implement a framework for sophisticated analysis and strategic initiatives.
  • Combine HR functional knowledge with technical expertise to drive process efficiencies, promote data integrity, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Develop new HR processes using automation platforms such as Alteryx, Power Automate, and UI Path.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS.
  • Serve as a primary consultant for internal clients to design analytics, perform statistical analyses, and make recommendations on complex HR issues.
  • Present methodology and conclusions of analyses directly to senior executive teams.
  • Establish benchmarks and lead data collection for human capital metrics.
  • Utilize project management skills to facilitate HR projects, potentially as project manager or work stream lead.
  • Produce and leverage system and capability roadmaps.
  • Produce clear, concise reports and presentations.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, MIS, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of HRIS or HRIT experience.
  • Experience with Workday configuration is required.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with database tools.
  • Expertise in navigating through an HR system of record.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Visio), with a strong background in Excel and Access.
  • Effective time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Project management experience involving systems.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, working unsupervised while exercising a high degree of discretion and independent judgment.
  • Service-oriented, collaborative approach to internal customers and peer relationships.
  • Solid technical problem-solving capabilities with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Nice to Have

  • Absence configuration experience is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of project management and systems implementation experience is recommended.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Alteryx, Power Automate, and UI Path is preferred.

  • Compensation range: $77,000.00 - $118,000.00
