Role Overview
You will play a central role in refining and advancing our high-frequency trading systems. Your focus will be on minimizing latency and maximizing reliability across the full technology stack—from physical hardware to kernel-level software and network infrastructure. You'll operate in a live, high-pressure environment where microseconds matter and system behavior must be predictable and consistent.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive performance optimization across the trading stack, targeting measurable reductions in latency and improvements in system efficiency
- Conduct deep analysis of kernel behavior, network stack performance, and hardware capabilities to identify and resolve bottlenecks
- Profile and monitor production systems in real time, building tools to track performance and detect anomalies
- Design, test, and deploy performance enhancements in live environments with strict risk controls
- Work closely with trading, infrastructure, and software engineering teams to align technical improvements with trading objectives
Required Expertise
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in low-latency system design and optimization
- Proven skill in Linux kernel internals, network engineering, and low-level system tuning
- Familiarity with market data protocols, order book mechanics, and exchange connectivity
- Experience using performance profiling tools and writing scripts to automate testing and analysis

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: 80,000 € – 150,000 € annually, with potential for higher compensation in exceptional cases

Work Model
This is a hybrid role. Remote work is permitted, but requires a two-week initial on-site period and recurring quarterly visits to Bratislava, Slovakia.
