The Help Desk Technician will support the daily operations of the MIS department at Samtec, Inc., providing technical assistance for phone systems, user desktops, and remote locations globally. This role involves troubleshooting, ticket management, and procurement for hardware and software systems.
What You'll Do
- Assist in daily operations of the MIS department, including problem determination, evaluation, and corrections.
- Phone system support
- Global User Ticket Entry
- User Desktop Support for Costa Rica (Operating System, applications, Hardware, external devices)
- Remote support for Satellite locations (US, Asia, Europe, South America)
- Procurement functions and relationships pertaining to the necessary hardware and software needed to properly maintain company information systems.
What We're Looking For
- 2 – 5 Years’ Experience in an MIS Support position.
- Experience in PC Software based IS environment with an emphasis on troubleshooting.
- Have 20/40 correctable vision and be able to read a computer monitor of reasonable size for 90 consecutive minutes.
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Nice to Have
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Global work environment with support responsibilities spanning Costa Rica, US, Asia, Europe, and South America.
