About the Role
The Healthcare Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing healthcare data to inform philanthropic strategies. This position requires strong analytical skills, experience with health datasets, and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collect and validate healthcare-related datasets from public and private sources
- Clean, organize, and structure data for analysis and long-term use
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify health trends and disparities
- Support the evaluation of grantmaking impact through data modeling and performance tracking
- Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with program staff to align data insights with strategic goals
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with privacy standards
- Translate research questions into analytical frameworks
- Monitor public health indicators relevant to current initiatives
- Summarize data findings in reports, briefs, and presentations
- Identify data gaps and recommend improvements in data collection methods
- Assist in designing data-driven evaluation plans for new programs
- Stay current with developments in healthcare policy and data science
- Support cross-project analysis to identify systemic patterns
- Use statistical software to conduct regression and trend analysis
- Ensure timely delivery of data products to internal teams
- Document methodologies and analytical processes
- Work with external partners to access specialized datasets
- Apply equity lens when interpreting health data
- Support the integration of data into decision-making processes
