Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Healthcare Data Analyst to transform complex healthcare claims and operational datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive smarter public health services. In this fully remote role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders to uncover trends and present data visualizations that influence decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Create and present clear, actionable data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Design and execute complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data while maintaining accuracy and integrity.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights supporting business and clinical goals.
- Extend business intelligence capabilities to maximize self-service and automate data requests.
- Validate data quality by identifying anomalies and inconsistencies in datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements for ad hoc queries and validation tasks.
- Develop and maintain documentation of query and data validation processes to ensure knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst within the healthcare industry.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Skilled in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Experience with scripting languages for data manipulation (e.g., Python, R).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
- Expertise in data validation techniques to maintain high data quality standards.
- Effective communication skills capable of translating technical findings for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple ad hoc requests and projects simultaneously.
