CVS Health is looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to serve as an HSE Business Partner, directly responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with HSE programs across your assigned market. You will build a world of health around every consumer by fostering a safety-first culture and proactively preventing colleague injuries within approximately 700 retail pharmacies.
What You'll Do
- Lead HSE implementation of programs, policies, and procedures within your assigned market (CA, NM, AZ, NV, ID, MT, CO, WY).
- Utilize a Behavior Based Safety Program to create a strong proactive safety-first culture.
- Provide solution-based feedback on behavioral opportunities, hazard recognition programs, and building assessments.
- Take an active role in Gemba walks, leading the HSE initiative of continuous improvement.
- Champion the powered industrial truck training and certification program.
- Actively review all internal HSE KPI's and reports to direct improvement strategies.
- Manage all incident and injury investigations, ensuring appropriate root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local HSE regulations.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies and collaborate with the corporate HSE and Legal team.
- Utilize project management skills to initiate, develop, and drive compliance-related projects to completion.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of applicable HSE experience.
- Knowledge of Federal and state Safety and Environmental Regulations.
- Knowledge of Safety & Environmental Management Systems and General Industry Safety.
- Skill in communicating with regulatory agencies, critical thinking, and problem solving.
- Ability to create cross-functional working relationships and influence without authority.
- Ability to analyze data and present written materials.
- Extreme comfort speaking in public settings, in person and virtually.
- Ability and willingness to travel by car and airplane (up to 80% travel required, including overnights).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle meeting company standards, and appropriate insurance.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Virtual Conferencing Applications.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of MSD and Soft Tissue Injury Prevention.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Manager Certification.
- Knowledge of Pharmacy, Clinical, and/or Patient safety.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Skill in Power BI applications.

Work Mode
This role is local-country based, supporting operations in CA, NM, AZ, NV, ID, MT, CO, and WY. Extensive travel within the assigned area is required.
