Lafarge Granulats / LafargeHolcim is looking for a Head of Raw Material Extraction to lead and organize operations for our limestone quarry, oil shale open-pit mine, and clay pit in Dotternhausen. In this key leadership role, you will drive the organization of resource security, extraction, and rehabilitation.
What You'll Do
- Take responsibility for organizing the securing of raw materials, extraction processes, and site rehabilitation.
- Conceptually coordinate workflows across the quarry operations.
- Manage and execute permitting and approval procedures.
- Act as a key interface with plant management and communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously optimize work processes and develop existing structures.
- Lead the teams in the extraction operations with passion and develop talent within them.
- Take on further challenging tasks and projects in coordination with your supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- A completed university degree in mining, resource engineering, geology, or a comparable field.
- Experience in project management and a genuine interest in planning and project tasks.
- Confident communication skills in German and English.
- Clear, goal-oriented communication and a high degree of self-motivation.
- A systematic, structured, and results-driven work approach.
- Solution and process-oriented thinking, also looking beyond the obvious.
- Proficient use of common Google and Office applications.
