Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and refine performance indicators for antivirus offerings
- Set direction and priorities for the product roadmap across three engineering teams
- Lead execution of strategic product efforts to meet ambitious performance targets
- Work closely with Product Management on high-priority client needs and market comparisons
- Integrate advanced AI technologies into malware identification workflows
- Manage the complete malware analysis pipeline from file intake to verdict delivery and system cleanup
- Make critical architectural choices for distributed data systems using Airflow, async Python, ClickHouse, MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka
- Lead transition efforts including AI-driven malware analysis and rule generation
- Develop and deploy performance improvements for cloud-based processing handling over 10 million new samples daily
- Oversee planning for infrastructure capacity, including compute resources, Ceph storage, and database scaling
- Supervise three engineering teams operating across multiple time zones
- Recruit, guide, and develop engineers and team leads across all three groups
- Coordinate inter-team dependencies with Server, Web Protection, QA, Infrastructure, and Support units
- Ensure reliability of signature releases through automated testing frameworks
- Track and enhance detection accuracy, false positive rates, and cleanup effectiveness
- Respond to live incidents such as certificate expirations, infrastructure outages, and processing delays
- Manage technical integrations with external vendors and partners
