Sartorius is hiring a Head of Business Development - Cell and Gene Therapy - Remote, US

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic direction of the organization as part of the commercial leadership team Americas
  • Identify hurdles to overcome and build robust plans to ensure the success of the Americas organization
  • Sales lead generation and senior sales leader – visits customers and effectively pitches value proposition to drive sales
  • Identify, establish, cultivate long-term strategic relationships with potential clients
  • Develop, manage and be accountable for the sales funnel and pipeline
  • Setup and host customer engagements with tech sales and application specialists
  • Generate sales insights and new business opportunities through utilization of the CRM together with our Marketeer
  • Develop and/or validate requirements through communication with clients
  • Develop relevant SOPs to guide a consistent approach amongst your team to meeting/exceeding our client expectations in sales processes (pre & post sale)
  • Close contracts with other internal groups, e.g. legal, contracts, finance
  • Provide sales updates to senior leadership – pipeline, projections, trends
  • Be at the forefront of CGT products, market and trends in quality control, and manufacturing technologies
  • Coach/train more junior members of staff to deliver on our mission
  • Forecast demand to manufacturing and supply chain
  • Forecasts sales and maintains revenue accountability of targets
