Benzinga is looking for a Growth Development Representative to play a foundational role in our sales process. This entry-level position focuses on generating sales opportunities with financial services advertisers. You will prospect, qualify, and set meetings for our senior sales team, gaining hands-on experience in B2B sales and financial services marketing without the initial pressure of closing deals.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain targeted lists of potential advertisers, including all decision makers and their contact information.
- Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to set up calls and meetings.
- Schedule qualified meetings for senior members of the Benzinga sales team.
- Provide a short pre-meeting summary to the sales executive for each meeting set.
- Remain involved in meetings you originate, attending alongside the sales executive.
- Support senior sellers with research, follow-ups, and coordination.
- Stay involved as deals progress to learn how revenue is ultimately closed.
- Gain exposure to advertising strategy, pricing, and campaign execution.
- Log all outreach, meetings, and opportunities in CRM.
- Track activity, meeting quality, pipeline influence, and results.
- Build strong sales habits and operational discipline.
What We're Looking For
- 0–2 years of professional experience (sales experience a plus, not required).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfort with outbound outreach and talking to professionals.
- Curiosity about finance, markets, or financial services.
- Organized, accountable, and coachable attitude.
- Competitive, self-motivated mindset.
Nice to Have
- Interest or coursework in finance, economics, marketing, or business.
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Exposure to media, advertising, or B2B sales environments.
