Altera is hiring a Graphics Performance Content Validation Engineer

About the Role

Altera is hiring a Graphics Performance Content Validation Engineer to verify graphics logic components, including 3D graphics, media, and display. You will ensure designs meet specification requirements and collaborate with architecture and design teams to achieve functional, performance, and power goals.

What You'll Do

  • Define and develop scalable and reusable IP verification plans, test benches, and architecture for the verification environment.
  • Execute verification plans and run system simulation models to verify design, analyze power and timing, and uncover bugs.
  • Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the pre-silicon environment.
  • Find and implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
  • Collaborate with GPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve verification of complex features.
  • Document test plans and drive technical reviews of plans and proofs with design and architecture teams.
  • Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • Participate in the definition of verification infrastructure and related TFMs for functional design verification.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • 1+ years of programming skills in C++, Python, or Ruby.

Nice to Have

  • 6+ months of experience in Computer Architecture/Design3D/Computer Graphics architecture and technology.
  • 6+ months of experience in Graphics Design, Validation, and Performance Analysis.
  • 6+ months of experience with DirectX/OpenCL or other Graphics APIs.
  • 6+ months of experience explaining complex technical concepts.
  • 6+ months of experience in data analysis and debugging.
  • 6+ months of experience in RTL design and debug.
