About the Role
Develop and optimize rendering features to enhance the visual quality and performance of the game across multiple platforms, working closely with art and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and build core rendering systems for real-time graphics
- Collaborate with artists to implement visual effects and materials
- Optimize graphics performance on console and PC platforms
- Debug and resolve rendering issues across different hardware
- Implement lighting, shading, and post-processing techniques
- Maintain and improve existing graphics pipelines
- Profile and analyze frame rate and memory usage
- Research and prototype new rendering technologies
- Ensure visual consistency across platforms
- Support the integration of 3D assets into the engine
- Work with animation and physics teams on visual synchronization
- Develop tools for artist-driven content creation
- Contribute to cross-platform compatibility of visual features
- Improve asset streaming and level loading performance
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- Experience shipping AAA game titles
- Knowledge of Vulkan, Metal, or DirectX 12
- Experience with animation or physics systems
- Familiarity with art content creation tools
- Contributions to open-source graphics projects
- Experience with virtual reality or augmented reality rendering
- Published research or presentations in graphics programming
- Strong understanding of memory and cache optimization
- Leadership experience in technical projects
